Welcome.
Thanks for stopping by. I should explain up front that the graphic art
and design services I offer differ from most you will find. Unlike the
hundreds of other so-called logo and banner designers, I use no templates,
automated art production software, or cookie-cutter clip-art. All my
designs are created from scratch, by a single artist: me!

When creating a graphic symbol to represent your company or service,
exclusivity is of utmost importance. Because most graphic art services
use templates, standard clip-art, automated logo generating software,
and/or pattern-based “art,” they cannot offer exclusive
"original" designs, and often you will find that one or several
other logos out there appear similar or almost exactly the same as yours.
There are only so many basic shapes and/or standard clip-art icons (a
typewriter for a journalist, a cake for a baker, etc.), and using these
immediately conveys a lack of originality, creativity, and investment
in the image you wish to project.
The
only way to insure that your design is original, exclusive, and won’t
be duplicated, is to employ a true graphic artist who will work with
you to create artwork that conveys the unique image you wish to project.
Of
course, coincidences can occur, even in art. However, if after viewing
some of the examples on these pages, you see something that strikes
you as familiar, it is most likely because someone has been influenced
by, or has simply copied one of my designs.

My service begins with a client consultation to determine the type of
business or other enterprise involved, the services or products offered,
the image projection desired, and any other information that could influence
the concept and appearance of the design. During this consultation I
will request copies of any existing company graphics or example sketches
that might aid in developing the design. I will also solicit suggestions
from you concerning the type of artwork desired, color schemes and intended
uses; all information that should be included in the design; the image
you hope to convey; and any other suggestions you might have concerning
the design itself. Using the information gathered during this consultation,
I then begin the design process.
Logos
Depending upon my degree of confidence as the process proceeds, I will
produce one or more preliminary examples to present. Adjustments (if
requested) will then be made to the design according to your wishes,
and a final low-resolution example will be posted on the Web for your
approval. Once approved, I will produce a high-resolution finished design
for use in print, plus lower-resolution versions in various sizes for
use on the Web.
Banners
Banners are designed to be incorporated into an existing website or
for use in the design of a new website. Usually, a banner will include
the company logo (existing or newly designed by me), a legend or promotional
tag line, and/or other elements complimentary to the website and its
navigation. Other than that, the development process is essentially
the same as that for logos.
Websites
Website design includes the design of a logo (if needed), banner design,
and page designs, with appropriate navigational tools and additional
graphics. I will initially produce a basic page design framework for
the home page and interior pages. Once approved, the customer then provides
the necessary informational content for each page and suggestions on
alterations in graphic and structural design. The page designs are then
refined, arranged into an efficient navigational structure, and published
on the customer’s URL. Once published and scrutinized by the customer,
further refinements, if necessary, can then be made until the customer
is satisfied with the result. Should it be necessary, ongoing website
management can be arranged.
