


An artist in several genres from adolescence on, R. LeBeaux began his
professional graphic-art career in 1962 as resident artist and typesetter
with a small printing firm in St Petersburg, Florida. Over the years
he worked for several printers and publishers, while producing fine
art in his spare time. When computers began to dominate the culture,
he adapted his skills to the new technology, mastering computer art,
Web design, and eventually becoming a freelance graphic artist.

R. LeBeaux began his professional woodworking career in 1964 as an apprentice
to well-known Luthier, Harley Day, eventually becoming a journeyman
Luthier specializing in the building of classical and flamenco guitars.
Over the years since then he has created wood art in the form of sculpture,
musical instruments, furniture, wall hangings, abstracts, jewelry, and
private commissions for specialty art pieces. Today, he resides in Central
Florida and is a member of Florida Craftsmen. His limited wood sculpture
series was completed in 2007, and can only be seen at various galleries,

R. LeBeaux’s writing has been published in almost every nonfiction
genre. He has authored nearly 2,000 published articles that have appeared
in over 30 national and international publications. His work has also
been reprinted in hundreds of newspapers, on the Internet, and in educational
materials for journalism and English classes. In addition to his non-fiction
work, he has published a novel [Barbara]
and several short stories, written/directed numerous videos, TV programs
and commercials, and once served as editor/publisher of an international
billiard magazine. He currently serves as designer, co-editor and Webmaster
for several Web sites, and as Artistic Director for MetroDirect
Communications, a Web design, hosting and e-commerce
business.
